Call to Action

Williams is seeking local approval to build a Solar + Storage facility to supplement power at our Station 605 facility in Clinton Township, Wyoming County, PA.

The company plans to leverage its natural gas-focused strategy and technology that is available today to focus on immediate opportunities to reduce emissions, scale renewables and build a clean energy economy.

The proposed Solar + Storage project at Station 605 will supplement power from the grid with renewable energy to the electric compressors that move gas from production centers to demand centers and ultimately end users.

The Solar + Storage project will enhance the facility’s reliability and result in reduced greenhouse gas emissions for the state of Pennsylvania.

Comment in support of Williams Solar Holdco application for Conditional Use

I am writing in support of Williams Solar Holdco’s application for a conditional use permit from Clinton Township in Wyoming County, Pennsylvania.

Williams was one of the first U.S. midstream operators to adopt a Climate Commitment, which sets a near-term goal of 56% absolute reduction from 2005 levels in company-wide greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, putting the company on a positive trajectory to be net zero carbon emissions by 2050.

The company plans to leverage its natural gas-focused strategy and technology that is available today to focus on immediate opportunities to reduce emissions, scale renewables and build a clean energy economy — while looking forward and anticipating future innovations and technologies.

Renewable energy is a component of Williams Climate Commitment effort.

Williams is investing in renewable technologies, including solar and energy storage installations, to provide renewable power to its facilities. As one of the nation’s largest energy infrastructure companies, Williams is committed to reducing emissions and scaling its use of renewable energy.

I support the company’s efforts to install and operate a solar and battery storage facility to provide electricity to the company’s existing natural gas facility in Clinton Township, Pennsylvania.

Thank you.
